The Missoula Bruins high school hockey team showed up to play this last weekend. With a state championship on the line at the Stumptown Ice Den in Kalispell, the Bruins put their foot on the pedal and never let up.
The senior laden team took home the Treasure State League first place banner on Sunday and the feeling could not have been any better.
Senior Captain Dalton Roeser said, “Words cannot explain how this feels. We have worked so hard for this all year, grinding day after day. To have the banner to prove that our hard work paid off feels amazing.”
It took a team effort. All 17 players on the Bruin’s roster contributed, making their dream a reality.
Senior Austin Leadbetter says their victory is due to, “big time players, stepping up in big time games, in big time moments.”
